The Travels and Holidays Network, a Toronto and UK based Travel Event Management team with the assistance of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka, in Toronto is organising “Wonder Sri Lanka” Travel and Trade Show

on 16th and 17th of October 2011 to promote Sri Lankan Tourism and Trade in North America in Toronto, Canada. This is the first ever Sri Lankan Tourism, Trade and Cultural event organised in North America and the show will present a glimpse of the rich and diverse cultural traditions and the beauty of the Indian Ocean Island, Sri Lanka said event coordinator  Former pathanian Yusri Abdulla.

“This includes a travel extravaganza, trade exhibition, investment forum, and breath-taking live performance by Channa Upuli Dance Troupe. The grand live show will also to be used as a platform in recognizing the individuals, organisations and companies who provide leadership in promoting Sri Lankan Travel under “Brand Sri Lanka - Travel Awards”. “The event will be addressed by prominent guest speakers, including well-known travel experts represented by a distinguished gathering of over 1500 invited guests comprising diplomats and senior officials of governments, investors, business community, tourism sector and the ethnic and main stream media including travel writers.

“The trade exhibition will showcase Airlines, Hotels, Resorts, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Travel Suppliers, Gem and Jewelry, Spices, Ceylon Tea, Gifts and Travel Accessories, Travel Publications, Textile and Fashion, Ayurvedic and Spa Products and Freight and Cargo companies, said Executive organiser, Suvi Wijayaratne.

Sri Lankan Tourism Promotions Bureau, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Board of Investments of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Tea Board, Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Authority and SriLankan Airlines are providing guidance and assistance for the show.
